Scotiabank's Customer Contact Centre receives Gold Contact Center Employer of Choice® certification for 2013/2014

January 13, 2014 Toronto, Ontario – CCEOC Inc. announced today that Scotiabank Customer Contact Centres have achieved the prestigious Gold level Contact Center Employer of Choice® (CCEOC) designation for 2013/1014.All four Canadian sites completed the assessment.

This is the seventh year Scotiabank has participated in the program and achieved certification. Since their first assessment, they have attained the highest score of any financial institution.

Scotiabank is dedicated to maintaining their Contact Center Employer of Choice® brand. They continually strive to develop their people focused culture and to build industry-wide recognition as a great place to work.

The designation has helped create a competitive advantage for attracting, retaining and motivating top talent. Through the CCEOC program summary reporting, management has gained a deeper understanding of key employee motivation and engagement drivers.

"Scotiabank Customer Contact Centre's focus on employee engagement and developing a superior workplace culture has positioned them as a leader in the industry." said Jeff Doran, President of the CCEOC Inc. "All four sites – Toronto, Halifax, Calgary and Cornwall – took part in the assessment and showed a tremendous level of consistency right across the board. As a certified CCEOC, the Scotiabank is identified as a preferred employer and one of the best contact center operations to work for in the country."
"Earning a CCEOC designation again in 2013 is evidence of our people-focused culture, a strength that continues to propel high employee engagement in every aspect of our business," said Larry Coates, Vice-President, Calgary Customer Contact Centre, Scotiabank. "We're extremely proud of our employees. They work hard for our customers and collectively deserve to be recognized for making our centre a world-class place to work!"

The Contact Center Employer of Choice® award is the industry standard for recognizing and branding people centric contact centers. Through a proprietary assessment, a contact center can quickly determine if they meet the qualification standards and achieve Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum ranking. Once the designation is achieved, the contact center is profiled on the official CCEOC corporate web-site , receives a prestigious framed certificate and is promoted through various print and electronic news channels. The CCEOC designation is valid for 12 months.

A sampling of centres that have completed the certification assessment include: FedEx, CIBC, LoyaltyOne - AIR MILES, Crawford and Company, Hilti North America, ING Direct, The Shopping Channel, Davis + Henderson, Roche Diagnostics ACCU-CHEK, Grand & Toy to name a few.
